Install on Android

  1. Download on the device itself. Open this page in Chrome on the tablet or phone and tap the app's Download button.
  2. Allow installs from this source. Open the downloaded file. If Android blocks it, tap Settings, turn on Allow from this source for Chrome (or your Files app), then go back and tap Install. If Play Protect warns that the app is unknown, check the fingerprint below, then tap More details → Install anyway.
  3. Updates install over the old app. Download the newer file and install it; the app keeps its data and pairing. Android accepts an update only when it is signed with the same key as the installed app. If it refuses with App not installed, do not uninstall the old app (that erases its pairing and local data): the file is not a Daymah release, so contact us.
  4. Pair the device. For Cashier and KDS: in the back office at app.daymah.com.my, open Settings → Devices, pick the store and the Cashier or Kitchen (KDS) tab, and mint a pairing code. On the tablet, type the 6 characters into Pairing code and tap Pair this device (Cashier) or Pair this KDS. Codes work once and expire after 10 minutes. For Manager: sign in with your back-office email and password.

Verify a download

Every Daymah app is signed with the same release key. Its signing-certificate SHA-256 fingerprint is:

On a computer with the Android SDK, the fingerprint must match the certificate SHA-256 digest printed by:

apksigner verify --print-certs <file>.apk

The file checksum must match the SHA-256 shown next to its download (also in SHA256SUMS.txt):

sha256sum -c SHA256SUMS.txt

Never install a Daymah app from anywhere else. A file with a different fingerprint is not ours.
